Karl Alexander Schickhardt (* 1995, Berlin) studies fine arts at the Berlin University of the Arts in the class of Manfred Pernice. In 2022 he studied with Motohiro Tomii and Azby Brown at the Musashino Art University in Tokyo, Japan. In his artistic practice, he enables the encounter of the “spatially and temporally separated” through old and new media, text, tactical fragmentation and other semi-informative productions. The “new” emerges from comparisons of the “old”. The connection to real / historical events and "fast-picture-culture" is essential.

On his blog (rareappearance.blogspot.com), he publishes free-form texts on art//history, references to other artists as well as additional information about his work and his archive on YouTube in irregular intervals.
